Whether you're struggling to finish your first screenplay, wondering why nothing you’ve written has been produced, or you’re just starting to dive into the craft. This one-day-only seminar is designed to help you deeply understand the path from development, to script, to screen.
Learn the building blocks of a great screenplay. We'll cover story structure, memorable characters, genres, plot points, pacing, conflict, and theme, along with how to craft stories that connect with audiences and remain marketable in today's film industry
You'll learn what makes a screenplay marketable, common mistakes writers make, and how films move from an idea on the page to a finished production. You'll leave with practical knowledge, actionable next steps, and a clearer understanding of the filmmaking process.
Sessions will be led by veteran filmmaker Micah Lyons, a writer, director, and producer who has spent more than a decade bringing independent films to life. Lyons has written, directed, and/or produced nearly 20 feature films, including STIGMAS (2026), Slater's Gold (2026), and Amazon Prime's #1 Western title, Bad Men Must Bleed (2025).
