Whether you're finishing your first screenplay, sitting on a script you've never known what to do with, or actively trying to get your next project into production, this one-day seminar is designed to help you understand the path from script to screen.
Learn the building blocks of a great screenplay. We'll cover story structure, memorable characters, genres, plot points, pacing, conflict, and theme, along with how to craft stories that connect with audiences and remain marketable in today's film industry
You'll learn what makes a screenplay marketable, common mistakes writers make, and how films move from an idea on the page to a finished production. You'll leave with practical knowledge, actionable next steps, and a clearer understanding of the filmmaking process.
Sessions will be led by veteran filmmaker Micah Lyons, a writer, director, and producer who has spent more than a decade bringing independent films to life. Lyons has written, directed, and/or produced approximately 20 feature films, including STIGMAS (2026), Slater's Gold (2026), and Amazon Prime's #1 Western title, Bad Men Must Bleed (2025).
